A small, friendly farm

The grounds cover two and a half hectares. Goats, sheep, pigs, ponies, horses, donkeys, cows, llamas, alpacas, rabbits and ornamental poultry all live there together. The animals are born and raised on the farm and are used to being handled: many also take part in animal-assisted therapy, in wellbeing sessions for people with disabilities or going through a difficult time.

What you can do

  • Self-guided visit: wander round the grounds on your own, from one enclosure to the next. There is an area where you walk in among the animals, a corner for stroking the rabbits, educational games and a small discovery trail with a glass-sided beehive. Buckets of pellets are sold at reception for feeding the animals.
  • Workshops, from age 4 and depending on the time of year: little farmers, wool collage and felting, treasure hunt (at least 6 children), photo trail, land art. On some days, children learn to milk the goats by hand and make cheese.
  • Birthday parties, from age 4: an afternoon with a workshop of your choice and the self-guided visit. Parents bring the birthday tea.

There is a picnic area and a play area, so you can stay for lunch.

Our tip

Phone the day before to book, especially in summer. Bring some change for the pellets, and boots or old shoes if rain is forecast. With older children, a morning at the farm goes well with the Lacroix-Barrez lava flow, a few minutes away. Walkers pass through Le Fraysse on the Valon castle loop.
